Edmodo App
This app ties in with the learning management system (LMS) called Edmodo. Its a great app that works very well on the iPad from both the teacher and student perspective. Any LMS worth its salt with have a great app to accompany it, and Edmodo have achieved this goal. Basic functions of creating courses, managing students, sharing context, collecting assessments etc are all integrated.

 Applications:
  1. To supplement the class use of the Edmodo learning management platform.
  2. Make quick posts to any class at any time from a smart phone or iPad.
  3. Student submission of assignment content.
  4. Capture & share  white board diagrams/discussion notes (photographed) directly to the class page.
  5. Extend students with higher-order thinking activities.
  6. Connect with educators around the globe.
  7. Engage with 21st century learning principles - anywhere, anytime learning.

    What other LMS + app combos do you have experience with/have read about? How is Moodle moving in this regard?

      Thanks for the question. I have used MoodleEz and mtouch on the Moodle platform. There are a plethora and I recommend this site for a review of each:

      I found mTouch to be quite reasonable.
      Outside of this I can touch base with some other tech peoples and drop some reviews of other common LMS apps here. Any in addition to Moodle that you would like reviewed?
