This app has been around for a while - still new to some though. The name is appropriate as it has a magical sense to it. Your iPad/iPhone mic listens to audio (from the radio, CD, another source) matches it against a database and tells you a raft of helpful information such as artist, album, spotify/rdio links etc.
Applications:
- Solves the problem of: Whats that song?
- Encourages listening to and sharing great music (possibly)
- Credits artists through recognition.
- Used in music classes in guessing genre/artists activities.
